Yep, that is right. I've decided to put together a family blog. Don't know how long it really will last and if people will actually read it. At least it is a place where I can share and vent (carefully) and a place to send relative and friends to see pictures of my lovely family.
Where to start.
Warning: I tend to ramble and I tend to go off on tangents - both in writing and in talking. Bare with me or exit right now. :)
I was born in Kansas City way back when. No, my mom was not a hippy. My dad didn't smoke pot. They love each other and they gave us a very good life. I grew up in New York with 2 sisters and 1 brother. I am the oldest. My life was full of all kinds of adventures, good and bad. Each made me who I am today. I would not want to change anything, except for situations that hurt people that loved me.
I have a lot of good people in my life. Then and now. I try not to be judgemental and am curious about every walk of life. Don't EVER judge me by the people that I hang out with or that I love to be around. Each is a person full of interesting details, whatever they may be. Everyone needs someone to a good person to them, a good friend. As most know I am a Christian. I do believe in Prayer. But I also believe in Karma in some situations. The greatest commandment of my God is to Love One Another. Everything else grows from that. I try to have no enemies. Okay, enough of this.
I met my wonderful husband, Daniel, when I was in college in Nyack, NY. He was attending SUNY, Delhi and I was attending Nyack College. We were introduced by my boyfriend of the time. We were then aquaintances/friends for about a year before we started dating. We got married about 2 years later and have been married for almost 20 years now. (4/2008 will be 20 years). He asked me to marry him in a club in NYC called The SAINT. To get into the club, you had to have a special membership card that had a picture of a dalmatian on it. When Daniel turned 30, I gave him a Dalmatian and he named it SAINT (the dog has since passed away but the marriage is still very strong). More on Daniel later.
After selfishly playing together for 10 years we decided to add more to the family. A little Moore. After a loss and some cervical corrections, sweet Samantha was born. Our first miracle child. What a joy! Nothing could prepare us for the even deeper love we would feel for each other and this new little child. What a joy she is. More on Samantha later.
Several pets later, and into a bigger second home we became pregnant again (to our surprise). Unfortuneatly, we had problems with my cervix AGAIN and lost another little baby during the pregnancy, late 2005. Quite heartbroken, we worked through it and quickly became pregnant again in 2006. Our lovely Isabella Grace was born healthy on February 19th of this year (2007)! It is still very hard to believe. More on Isabella later.
I could go on and on... and will later. Blogs on marriage, on parenthood, on the passion for House music, Christianity, friendships, art, culture, etc. Never ending subjects. Are you bored yet?
